Role Purpose:
The FLM Manager is responsible for managing the Network Operations objectives in the Field, Fixed infrastructure, Fibre, Data Centre Domain, preventative & corrective maintenance end to end responsibility, Health & Safety audit, spare part management, keeping of site and test equipment inventories and managing the vendors and 3rd party suppliers.
For fixed and fiber infrastructure, the role requires close monitoring of customer issues related to ISP and OSP infrastructure and effective problem mitigation at Central offices.
The role requires close collaboration with Data Centre design team and is also required to work with the Procurement and Supply management team for raising RFPs for any required services or materials not covered in current scope. The FLM Manager is expected to closely manage the FLM and Fibre Operations Budget with regular updates to management. FLM manager is required to be single focal point for any operational preparations for key events ..
Key accountabilities and decision Ownership:
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the FLM, Data Centres, Fixed infrastructure and Fibre network and ensures that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures. & Lead in the setting of standards and goals for FLM, Data Centre, Fibre and Fixed field operations.

• Establish key metrics for monitoring quality system effectiveness and to drive higher standards of quality execution. &Review customer purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in the plans • Participate in internal and external quality audits as required. Ensure to monitor and control expenses related to operation work and ensure organisational forecasts and budgets are met & To ensure safety standards and procedures are implemented and followed in accordance with contract requirements and Company guidelines.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices.
& Develop Complete preventive maintenance schedule, and validate reports sent by Vendor to reflect the actual performance in the monthly invoicing
• Ensure complete compliance for all Network assets. Provide rapid resolution of fixed infrastructure customer complaints related to ISP/OSP and Central Office infrastructure. & Close monitoring of acceptance of newly deployed network and ensure target achievement by strictly following quality targets.
• Close collaboration with Government and Commercial entities for any rerouting of fibre infrastructure. & Close collaboration with SCM for RFPs. And effective vendor management skills.
• Identify and ensure that major inspection discrepancies are reported appropriately and corrected in a timely manner & Respond quickly and effectively to resolve various trouble tickets, monitoring system and network performance issues in accordance with applicable policies, standards and procedures. And Comply with and perform quality assurance programs.
• SPOC for E2E operational Acceptance & Quality. Strong follow-up skills and ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs
• Manage DC Power system & Facilities such as rectifiers, and Performs related tasks consistent with skills and abilities and general responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
• Prepares long and short-term budgets and will be fully accountable for the service management budget management .
• Monitors adherence to budgets and work plans to ensure objectives are met.
Skills
Apply if you have:
BE (Electrical) engineering or equivalent
15 Years of relevant experience in operation management and in Field Operation with telecom Vendors /Operator with expertise in Field, Data Centres, Fixed infrastructure and Fibre Networks.
• Relevant experience of handling positions at regional or national level with Budget handling
• Must have experience in Spare part management, Acceptance and Data Center Maintenance and Good knowledge of OSHA requirements applicable to the Telecom industry.
Operations and Data Centre Management
• ITIL Practitioner Preferred & Certifications in Data Centres e.g. CDCM, CDICM
• H&S Certified preferred.
• Certifications/Training in Radio Access Equipments.
